International Promotores |
Our team of international promotores helps us raise awareness and support for Semilla Nueva’s work. To this end, they host events, utilize personal networks, and work to meaningfully share the work we do. Just like our promotores in agricultural communities of Guatemala, our international promotores are vital to making our work a success. as a small start-up non-profit, these international promotores allow us to access a wider community and generate support from the United States and Europe. Generally, international promotores will choose to engage one or more of the following activities for their work with Semilla Nueva:
- Direct solicitation of Semilla Nueva members through personal networks
- Host friend raiser events which could include a dinner, movie discussion and/or guided discussion
- Host a party, entertainment, poetry, or art event to raise money and/or build support
- Launch One Day’s Wages fundraiser event
- Expand Semilla Nueva’s calling, email, and/or letter campaign
