We are currently working with promotores to educate them on conservation tillage, interplanting, green manures, living barriers, contour ditches, organic fertilization and crop maintenance, and use of high-protein seeds (non-GMO). The technologies we are working with have been historically proven to raise yields by 50 to 200 percent, while rejuvenating soils, protecting water systems, and improving crop resilience. We believe that sustainable agricultural systems that work with nature rather than against it are the real seeds to Guatemala’s future.
